A HAPPY couple spent their wedding day surrounded by family and friends.
Tanya Basso, 28, and Alex Folly, 30, tied the knot at St Nicholas church in Moreton.
The bride, a night care assistant, and the groom, a maintenance manager for Dorset Vehicle Rentals, said they were ‘very proud’ of their children, Faith, nine, and Finley, four, who were the flower girl and page boy.
Mrs Folly said: “We were very proud of them. It brought a tear to the eye.”
The couple had their reception at Morton Gardens in a marquee. The weather had been bad the week before and the bride had brought yellow wellies to match her bouquet just in case, but in the end the day was dry and the wellies remained inside.
During the reception a friend flew a helicopter over to take pictures.
The bride said: “It was very nice. It went quite quickly. It was very lovely.
“It all ran very smoothly and it was very enjoyable.”
The couple would like to thank photographer Chris Whitefield, Deb and Tom from Moreton Gardens, Greenacre Farm in Wareham for the hog roast, the mobile bar, florist Kelly Golding and all their family and friends for a wonderful day.
The happy pair went on honeymoon to Cornwall for a week.
