POLICE praised people who have come forward to report suspected illegal drug use in Bridport after operations in the town.
Following information received from members of the public, police arrested three local men on suspicion of supplying and growing cannabis and drug possession and money laundering.
Bridport police officers entered premises in West Bay last Tuesday. Two men aged 30 were arrested on suspicion of supplying class B drugs and cultivating cannabis.
In an unconnected operation last Thursday a 26-year-old man was arrested for possessing class B drugs and money laundering after a police raid at an address off West Street.
Officers seized quantities of a substance thought to be cannabis and cash during the raid.
PC Scott McGregor said: “This is part of ongoing initiatives taken by Bridport officers to tackle and disrupt the supply of controlled drugs.”
He added: “It also demonstrates the value of information gained from the community.”
