I MISSED Village Club – Volcanoes, with Robin Miller – men loved it but I’m told (by men) that ladies found it hard going – too technical! Come on ladies is that true or just male prejudice?? All of you let me know if you like/dislike speakers.
BOTH VILLAGE & Gardening Clubs are now on their summer holidays until September.
I also missed the Village Hall & the Fete meetings – no one has brought me up to date, so I can’t pass on news to those who missed them.
THE Bowls CLUB is holding Carpet Bowls in the evenings, for the summer period, starting from Wednesday 20th June, 7.15 for 7.30 pm start. Each session is £1.50 and new members, gentlemen or ladies (all abilities) will be very welcome. I know it is great fun & I’m just sorry that my hip/back won’t allow me to play any more! More info from Alan & Hazel 871454.
VILLAGE LUNCH Club is on Tuesday, 26th June and that’s really something to look forward to, it will be good to see everyone and catch up, as well as having lunch cooked for me!
ON SUNDAY 1ST July we are holding a Patronal (St Peter, patron saint?) Songs of Praise at 6.30 pm in the Church – we would love lots of you to come and swell the volume of praise! Choose your favourite hymn, there is a list to fill out in the back of the Church, or give it to Judy or me by Monday 25th to give the organist some practise time. It would be nice to hear, on the night, why it is special to you (not obligatory!) It’s lovely to see that Tim S. has returned with his strimmer to tidy the bits that he looked after when he lived here. Thanks Tim!
