FOR the second year running, staff at Budmouth College will take part in a charity cycle ride.
Last year staff cycled from Land’s End to John O’Groats raising £10,000 for Help for Heroes and the Kenyan Medical Centre. A total of 14 members of staff and their friends will set off at 4am on Saturday morning to join in with the annual London to Brighton cycle ride.
Money raised will help the charity Care, a charitable organisation that helps the poor and vulnerable in some of the world’s poorest countries.
Principal David Akers said: “Last year’s event was a fantastic success.
“The group enjoyed it so much, we decided to have an annual Budmouth Challenge and this year a group of staff are completing the London to Brighton cycle ride.”
Mr Akers added that a total of £2,000 had already been raised.
