Is anybody planning the regeneration of the Weymouth Esplanade?
We were concerned to see what a very poor job had been done with the resurfacing – cracks, joins and lumps everywhere – is this the finished job? Now we see that having completed that exercise the prom was being dug up yet again to lay cables for the laser gantries.
Is there anybody with a modicum of sense in charge.
Enough has been said in the past about the destruction of the traditional seaside seafront, which was what Weymouth was all about, but having wreaked havoc with the new lighting etc. it seems to go from bad to worse.
Get a grip W&PBC and sort things out or there will still be holes being dug when the 60,000 visitors a day turn up to see the sailing!
As our daughter said on a recent visit home to Weymouth: “What have they done to our beautiful seafront”?
