THE Spirit of Bridport Festival of Culture needs volunteers to help with the smooth running of the 16-day event.
The festival runs from August 11 to 27 and will be offering visual arts, music, film, food, theatre, heritage, sport, dance, exhibitions, installations, demonstrations and discussions.
Organisers say their primary aim is to showcase and share the very best of Bridport, to attract national and international visitors.
Final touches are being made to the programme and the website is now launched and live at festival ofculture.com.
Festival director Tamsin Chandler is putting a call out for volunteers from the community who’d like to share in the fun and excitement.
She said: “What makes the festival of culture unique is that the whole town is involved.
“Bridport will put on the show of the summer for visitors and there’ll be plenty of opportunities for volunteers to enjoy and learn, with a wide array of different tasks on offer.
“Anyone who wants to take part is very welcome.
“As it’s Bridport’s festival, we want as many people involved as possible and there’s sure to be something to suit everyone. Just let us know what you can do and would like to do – and we’ll do our best.”
