A CHARITY event at a Dorchester pub in memory of three local residents raised £1,600 for three charities.
The Bakers Arms in Monmouth Road hosted a cheese and wine night that attracted nearly 60 people.
As well as ticket sales, a raffle raised £547 and an auction £520 with the most successful lot an oil portrait commissioned by local artist Helen Bugler which raised £260.
The event was held in memory of three friends of the pub – Amy and Sam Nesbitt and Yvonne Price – and raised funds for West Dorset Diabetes, RSPCA’s Taylor’s Rehoming Centre and Dorchester Haematology unit. Organisers thanked all those who supported the event.
