PEOPLE are being urged to start putting their best foot forward for the sixth women-only Midnight Walk in Weymouth in aid of the Weldmar Hospicecare Trust.

The walk, on Saturday, August 18, will introduce a new 13-mile route for those who wish to take up a bigger challenge to the usual five-mile and six-and-a-half-mile routes.

All routes will leave from Weymouth College in Cranford Avenue where there will be free parking.

An early bird registration fee of £14 will apply for those who register by May 20.

Afterwards it will be £16 for adults and the fee for age 14 to 18 years is £12. The registration fee includes a walkers’ T-shirt and fun items.

There will be prizes for the best outfit.

Event organiser Sue Leighton said “This is such a great night out for the ladies, the atmosphere is amazing and everyone really enjoys themselves. “The entry fee covers the cost of setting up the event but it’s the sponsorship raised by walkers that really makes a difference to our patients and their families.”

Volunteers for registration and marshalling the routes are urgently needed to support the walkers.

For more information contact Sue on 01305 215320 or 261800 for a registration form or to register by credit/debit card. People can register online at weld-hospice.org.uk/midnightwalk
