LANGTON Herring has come into the computer age – we now have our own FACEBOOK page! make sure you use it; checking for what’s on, remembering to put your forthcoming events on it and any interesting pictures.
FOR some time I have thought it would be a good idea to have as many villagers as possible on a group e-mail, so that we could send notices of things happening, without wearing out someone’s shoe leather. Anyone who is interested please let me know & I will organise it.
THE VILLAGE Club had a really good evening for their AGM, with the business out of the way, we were enthralled by Rob Curtis’ excellent presentation on Turnpikes & Coaching.
SCRABBLE Evening – just spent a very enjoyable couple of hours at the Wednesday games night (8pm) down at the Elm Tree. I have never played one game of scrabble with 10 players! but there were 5 pairs of us and it was great fun and didn’t go on for ever - if you haven’t tried it, give it a go.
