AT A SERVICE in Cattistock Church on Sunday January 29 the Bishop of Sherborne commissioned the Rev Graham Perryman, team rector of the Melbury Team Ministry, to be the new Rural Dean of Sherborne.
After the service a cheque for £525 was presented to the Bishop by Liz Flight, landlady of the Fox and Hounds pub in Cattistock. This was the proceeds from a 50p tower which was built in the bar over the last few months by customers of this popular village pub.
The money will be used to help in essential repairs to the church of St Peter and St Paul, Cattistock.
Liz has now started a new tower, this time in aid of Julia’s House, the Dorset Hospice for Children. We hope customers will support this very worthy cause.
