THE CHEESE and Wine was a great evening - good food, good company & hopefully a nice profit for the Village Hall!
The next Village Hall “DO” will be Saturday, 10th December – a ‘Strictly Christmas’ themed party – that gives you free rein to wear either fancy dress or posh frocks! Tickets are £7.50 from committee members.
PCSO SARAH PILCHER has asked me to let you know that she will be holding her PACT Surgery at Bellenie’s Bake House, in Abbotsbury on Friday, 25th November and at Wheelwrights on Wednesday, 7th December, both from 2 to 3 pm – please put them in your diary NOW.
THE LARGE tree in the Churchyard should be felled by the time you read this – we are having the wood stacked in the space left so that villagers can utilize the logs for their fires.
THE ELM TREE held a lovely Bonfire Party on Saturday evening with hot mulled wine or cider & food, if you wanted - the fire burnt fiercely, then over half an hour of homely fireworks (not too many bangs!) were enjoyed by the crowd. Thank you, Debbie & Jamie.
Halloween was suitably ghoulish with Dracula (dripping blood), various witches and even a heavenly bishop, armed with garlic, to keep us all safe – the next event will be the Beaujolais evening.
