THE intrepid wives of soldiers, sailors and airmen have again posed in the nude for an underwater-themed 2012 charity calendar.
Garrison Girls, set up by a Dorset woman, is trying to raise £5million for a retreat to help service men and women with post traumatic stress disorder.
Founder Sarah Bennett Thurston is a mum-of-three whose husband Paul is a sergeant in the Royal Signals at Blandford Camp.
She said: “I am often asked if the girls find it difficult to pose nude.
"It’s certainly not the usual behaviour, but any stress we feel is nothing when compared to what our husbands try to cope with every day."
Garrison Girls' long-term aim is to raise £5million and build a retreat in Dorset based around 15-20 chalets that can each house a serviceman and his family.
