THE VILLAGE gentlemen are in the news – our poor dilapidated notice board has been given a new lease of life by John M – and very nice it looks too – many thanks John.
Then, not to be beaten, Michael K has sanded down the front door of the Church & given it several coats of wood treatment, so it is now ready for the weather that the winter is sure to hurl at it – many thanks to you as well, Michael.
The other day my fellow churchwarden asked our resident blacksmith, Robert, if he could revamp some candle holders that were the wrong size – what a super job he did! I couldn’t tell the difference – it will make our life so much easier when we use them, grateful thanks to you too.
We really are blest with wonderful people who just get on and do the jobs that need doing.
TUESDAY, 25th October will be the Village Lunch – it’s going to be a real treat as the gentlemen are going to be the cooks! - we are really looking forward to it.
I DON’T know what is about Tuesdays, but they are always BUSY – we also have the Chesil Bank Garden Club at 7.30pm in Langton Village Hall.
The speaker is Martin Young and he is going to talk on “Gardening on clay soils and near coastal areas” – as we are in both those categories – it should be interesting & helpful! Come & join us.
A JOYFUL bit of news is that Ada & Keith have just become grandparents again! congratulations to the whole family.
