A MAN was punched in the face when two robbers took his money and mobile phone, police said.
Residents woke to see a wooded area close to Wareham train station taped off and police crime scene investigators on the scene.
A Dorset Police spokesman said a man, believed to be aged in his 20s, had the items stolen at 3.30am yesterday.
She said the man was robbed in the wooded area between the train station and the Northmoor Way housing estate.
The robbers were both described as aged 26 to 27-years-old.
One of them was wearing a light grey hooded top and is of average build.
The second man was described as ‘muscular’ and ‘stocky’ with short cropped dark hair and a goatee beard.
He was wearing a black jacket.
Anyone witnesses or anyone with information can telephone Dorset Police on 101.
