BUSINESSES which have made a special contribution to the Jurassic Coast will be recognised in an awards scheme.
This year sees the return of the annual Jurassic Coast Award which was set up to praise firms which promote the values of the Dorset and East Devon Coast World Heritage Site.
Awards will be presented to two businesses which have made outstanding contributions.
Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site team leader Sam Rose said: “It’s 10 years since the Jurassic Coast was designated a World Heritage Site.
“Many businesses have put a great deal of effort, time, commitment and enthusiasm into helping to promote, manage and present it.
“I am delighted that the Fine Family Foundation has decided to recognise the contribution that some of these businesses have made through the creation and sponsorship of this award scheme.”
Entries should be in by November 7 and the awards will be presented at the annual Jurassic Coast Seminar on Wednesday, December 14, at the Marine Theatre in Lyme Regis.
Entry forms can be found on the website: jurassiccoast.com/award Businesses that would like to enter should go to www.jurassiccoast.com/award, then complete and return the form. Alternatively, call Jurassic Coast Award administrator Martin Cooke on 01305 848156 or email: handlmanagement@aol.com
