OVER 50s on Portland are being invited to dust off their dancing shoes and take part in a new dance project on the island.
A Dance A Day classes have started at the Community 2000 building in Straits, Easton on Monday afternoons from 2pm until 3pm, until December 5.
A Dance A Day is an Activate dance project for the over 50s living in Dorset which aims to highlight the ability and creativity of older people in the context of the London 2012 Games.
The classes will lead to a performance during the Olympic sailing events.
No dance experience is necessary, all over 50s are welcome. The classes cost £2.50 per session, to book your place call Alice or Rosalind on 01305 260954 or email info@activateperforming arts.org.uk
