A South West group of planning consultants has charged WDDC stupid money to assess possible traveller sites and deliver a shortlist with detailed suitability appraisals.
Bizarrely despite their considerable experience they felt it unnecessary to establish availability of the sites before shortlisting them.
How else can they explain the immediate elimination of so many of these since the announcement last week?
Perhaps they have no intention of spreading the considerable load around our district when one site in particular could take the lot with room for more, if the good little people of West Stafford shut up and say nothing.
Who could possibly see a problem with delivering a large site to the travelling community and asking them nicely to limit their development to a tiny portion?
Am I the only one with alarm bells ringing so loud it’s practically deafening me?
Someone definitely has it in for West Stafford but they don’t seem to realise that we will not go down without a fight.
We don’t want a bridge to allow better pedestrian access to our facilities – what facilities? A bus service with three buses in and two buses from Dorchester a day?
Dale Farm is so last week... Stafford Farm watch out.
