TWO people were taken to hospital after part of a ceiling collapsed at a Weymouth nightclub early today.
Witnesses have told the Echo how revellers were left covered in rubble and debris at Dusk nightclub on the Esplanade.
Despite the drama, the Echo understands Dusk will be open tonight as usual although the first floor bar where the accident happened will be closed off.
Clubbers were evacuated following the collapse at around 2.15am.
Dorset Fire and Rescue Service said the masonry coving - the decorative part of the ceiling - above the first floor dancefloor collapsed.
Paramedics treated eight people outside the venue and two were taken to hospital as a precaution.
No-one was seriously injured.
Police have praised bar and door staff at Dusk for the way they handled the situation and got everyone out safely in a few minutes.
