WE went to see the America’s Cup yacht races in Plymouth.
It was very well organised with an information tent, food outlets and toilets handy.
We sat on the grassy part of the Hoe (with a few thousand others) and had an excellent view of the races which took place directly in front of us with the start and finish points almost below us.
There were large TV screens at the back of the Hoe and in the City Centre. It was free.
Travelling back through the South Devon resorts we were treated to coloured fairy lights along the seafront as well.
Perhaps bulbs are cheaper in Devon?
