A NEW gentle exercise group has started in Dorchester aimed at people who feel “a bit creaky”.
The aim of the sessions is to stretch, strengthen and improve stamina, and the classes involve a variety of exercises which are seated, standing, and floor based.
The Gentle Exercise for the Creaky group was initially launched as part of the Fit as a Fiddle project with Age Concern Dorchester funded by lottery cash. The class has recently found a more spacious home at St George’s Church Hall in Fordington, due to its popularity and numbers increasing.
Fit as a Fiddle is now offering a free taster session with the group for a small number of people. If you would like to try the class for free contact Anna on 01305 820116.
Free taster places are limited, and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
