A DORSET construction company is helping to create a hi-tech media centre in Weymouth College.
Poole firm Greendale Construction has just secured £5million in new business wins.
This includes a state-of-the-art multimedia centre with classrooms, a break out room, lecture theatre and a TV and media training centre for Weymouth College students.
The new media centre will be known as ‘The Hive’.
Other contract wins by Greendale are the upgrade and fit out of a new gym and toilets at Oakmead School in Bournemouth.
Director Chris Kane said: “The hard work we as a firm have put into our business development, sales and marketing strategy during the past two years, not to mention our excellent customer service, superior build quality and keeping a tight rein on project budgets all helps our clients.”
Summer works have almost been completed by Greendale at the Arts University College at Bournemouth with a new dye room, interior architecture and a make-up studio.
There are also new client wins for the team from the Spectrum Housing Group which includes the refurbishment, modernisation and upgrades to the Spinnaker House offices which are due for completion by Spring 2012.
Mr Kane added: “The teams’ drive to keep the brand presence going during the tough times, ensures that the Greendale name is recognised for excellent service, build and attention to detail.
“That is why we have continued to secure excellent projects, which include Durlston Castle and the West Hants Club and we are pleased the remainder of the 2011 and 2012 order books continue to look healthy with more new business wins.”
