NEW choir members from adults to children over nine years of age are invited to join All Saints Church Choir in Easton, which has started meeting again this month. The Royal School of Church Music run a scheme called Voice for Life as they believe that everyone can benefit from singing.
They offer courses that reflect this within the framework of local churches. Members are expected to attend services, festivals and weddings.
This gives anyone interested in learning music and singing an opportunity to learn the disciplines of music and voice training at no cost whatsoever.
They can work through different levels under an award scheme. All Saints choir mistress Mrs Margaret Stone said: “Singing is great fun and we would welcome anyone aged nine and over to come and join us.
“We have registered to sing with Coastal Voices at the Pre-Olympic Sing in Weymouth next year, which will involve hundreds of voices.
“It looks like it will give choirs in our area a unique experience.”
All who would like this opportunity to be part of All Saints Choir and celebrate the joy of singing should contact Mrs Stone on 01305 826662.
