BUCKLAND NEWTON COOKING – is it a love or hate of yours?

A charity event called “Can’t Cook, Won’t Cook” takes place on Thursday, October 13.

Why not attend and learn more or take the fear out of cooking?

The venue is Buckland Newton Primary School, this event starts at 7:30pm.

You will enjoy cooking demonstrations, competitions, be able to shop, enjoy fine food and wine and take part in a raffle!

All proceeds go to Cancer Research UK.

Please call Lizzy Ralph on 01963 23560 for more information or e-mail her on lizzyralph@hotmail.com.

LITTLE Goslings is the brand new name for Buckland Newton’s Toddler Group.

The group holds a very informal coffee and play session in the Village Hall every Wednesday morning.

Parents from the surrounding villages are welcome to join in – do come along, even if you are “just” expecting or perhaps you fancy making some new friends?

The sessions are being held from 9:30am – 11:30am, Phillipa, Jane, Emily and their kids are looking forward to meeting you!

TALENTS will once again be held this year, albeit in a lower-key format.

Everyone is invited to sell their “talents” at a couple of markets that will be organised.

Your wares could be anything – perhaps to do the ironing or shopping, assist with gardening or computer problems or your home made greeting cards?

Talents is always glad about new input or ideas so don’t be shy and come forward!

The profits generated always represent an enormous boost for the Holy Rood Church.
