CHILDREN will get the chance to learn about youngsters around the globe with the latest edition in Disney’s Wonderful World of Knowledge.
Children of the World gives an insight into how others live and contains amazing facts.
Youngsters will be delighted to learn how many Canadian families flood their back gardens with water to create temporary ice rinks for their children and how, in Bulgaria, nodding your head means no and shaking your head left to right means yes.
Chapters cover cultural diversity, games and pastimes, celebrations and festivals and living in the city. The volume is the 13th in a 24-part series being offered by the Dorset Echo, in conjunction with Disney.
The first edition, Dinosaurs, was given away free with the Echo on July 2 and, since then, one volume has been available each Saturday with your Dorset Echo for just £2.99.
The full set will be complete by December 10, making a great Christmas present, or youngsters will love building the collection themselves. And it’s not too late to start collecting. Just contact Dorset Echo offices for details of how to get the first 12 editions with back copies of the paper.
