FIVE people were taken to hospital following a crash on the Weymouth Relief Road.
Police, firefighters and paramedics were called to the scene north of Littlemoor just after midday on Saturday.
Three cars were involved, police said.
A police officer at the scene said occupants had been injured but the injuries are not believed to be life threatening.
The road was closed for a couple of hours and traffic was diverted via Dorchester Road and the new Bincombe junction where there were reports of long queues.
