The company behind the scheme said that the village will provide around 200 new permanent jobs in a variety of roles and professions.
It envisages around 190 high specification care capable apartments in the development. In addition there will potentially be a 68 bedroom specialist care home and a further 18 bedroom dedicated care and respite hotel all with a broad range of supporting facilities tailored to the over 55s.
The company would not be drawn on how much the apartments would cost but its website states that its proposed developments would offer the choice of buying or renting.
A spokesman added: “As for heights of the buildings we have been mindful during the design process of not obstructing the views from the cliff top to the rear of the site and we will where ever possible keep the heights below the cliff top minimising any impact the design of these building will have on local residents.
“Recognising the needs for privacy, dignity and safety we have shaped our developments to create an environment which is peaceful, relaxing and stimulating.
“Our villages will be built to create choice with life’s luxuries easily accessible, all at an affordable price.”
