ONE point left out of letters in the past regarding traffic changes, I would like to suggest, is that consideration is given to pedestrians.

Cycle lanes have been, along with crossings times, added or changed, and many pedestrians need time to cross roads.

We have two feet not mechanical parts like cars or bicycles and need also to know cyclists are near with the sound of the bell.

No, as so often happens, we are asked to make way or do not see cycles but feel a puff of wind as they pass us at a hair’s breadth.

So please be patients and give us back our pavements, in some places, where they are used wrongly.

Those of you who feel you have priority over pedestrians, let’s all be as considerate as possible to each other whilst out and about in town, whether on foot or wheels.
