AS a regular visitor to Weymouth over the past 16 years I have been horrified and saddened to see the slow but steady decline of Bowleaze Coveway.
What used to be a delightful residential road has been irrevocably scarred by what is described by property developers as ‘four magnificent contemporary houses’ and ‘two stunning three-bedroom apartments’.
Magnificent? Stunning? Certainly not to existing residents to whom my heart goes out.
Who on Earth in Weymouth or Dorset planning department agreed and sanctioned the applications for these visual monstrosities? They should be ashamed.
If this disregard continues throughout Weymouth it will become a less attractive holiday destination for us and, I should think, a good many other visitors.
