HUNDREDS of people enjoyed perfect conditions at the Eggardon Kite Festival yesterday.
Kites of all shapes and sizes were on display at the popular annual event on Eggardon Hill near Bridport.
People grasped the opportunity of blowing away those early autumn cobwebs with kite flying, kite workshops, refreshments and a host of fun activities.
Eggardon Hill is an Iron Age hill fort with some of the best views across Dorset, a beautiful place to bring a kite and picnic and make a day of it.
Jenny Palmer attended with her children Sophie, seven, and Max, 10.
Mrs Palmer from Beaminster said: “It is the first time we have come and the kids really enjoyed it.
“It was very windy so it was a bit tricky for the younger ones but once they got the hang of it they really enjoyed it.”
