THE Electric Palace will be rocking out next Saturday with AC/DC tribute band Live/Wire and their special guests The ZZ Tops. Live/Wire are the unique six man tribute to one of rock music’s greatest bands AC/DC, complete with cannons, a wall of Marshalls and more than two hours of High Voltage Rock ’n’ Roll. Both eras of AC/DC are included in the show, with two very individual singers treading the boards and the frenzied schoolboy antics of Angus Young are faithfully reproduced. It is all backed up by a thundering freight train of a rhythm section. The show packs in the classics like Highway To Hell, Thunderstruck and Back In Black into a two-hour plus show. Live/Wire also throws in a few surprises for hardcore (and not so hardcore) fans to savour.
The ZZ Tops are not to be missed. As a tribute to Texas’ best known boogie band they give fans of all ages the opportunity to experience the bands entertaining and authentic show, with the Eliminator favourites Sharp Dressed Man, Legs, Gimmee All Your Lovin and of course the classic Tush.
In what is promising to be yet another night not to be missed at the Electric Palace advance booking is strongly recommended from Bridport Tourist Information on 01308 424901. Standard £17.50/£19 on the door. Doors open at 7pm and the action starts at 8pm.
