IT was double joy for a Chickerell couple with the arrival of their twins.
Shelley Spence, 32, and Kenny Porter, 38, welcomed twins Keenan and Kaitlyn into the world on April 10 at Dorset County Hospital.
Keenan weighed 4lbs 13.5oz and Kaitlyn weighed 4lbs 12.5oz.
The couple, who had been trying for a family for five years, wanted to thank their family and friends for their help and support.
Shelley said: “We would like to say thank you to all the girls on the maternity ward and the nurses at the Winterbourne Clinic and the Poundbury Clinic. We would like to give a special thank you to our friends and family for their help through some though years.”
Shelley also paid tribute to Kenny for all his love and support.
She added that it was just being a new mum was just the best feeling.
She said: “It’s just great, it’s been years of trying and then seeing the love when they look at you. Although its hard work, it’s extremely rewarding.”
The twins are eating and sleeping well and their different personalities are already starting to come out.
