A COUNCIL officer can expect to be grilled about Weymouth’s roadworks blitz at a community meeting tomorrow.
The Waterside Weymouth Community Forum has invited a representative from Dorset County Council’s engineering team to answer questions about the town’s ongoing transport package works.
Emma Banwell from the team has agreed to attend in the absence of strategic projects manager Matthew Piles, who has a prior engagement.
Forum chairman Ken Whatley said residents had expressed concern about the disruption the works had caused, prompting the invite to County Hall.
Work is due to finish next month on the Weymouth Transport Package – a programme of improvement works in the run-up to the 2012 Olympics.
Borough dog warden Ian Lewis has also been invited to address the meeting following concerns about dog mess on the street and other issues.
Everyone is invited to the meeting at the Pak Community Centre in Chelmsford Street tomorrow at 7.30pm.
