OVER-50s on Portland took to the floor of a community centre to rediscover the joy of dance ahead of the 2012 Games.
Around 15 people attended the free A Dance A Day taster session at the Community 2000 building yesterday.
Sheila Bedford, aged 67, of Fortuneswell said: “It was an excellent class, really sociable.
“I’d thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants to keep moving.
“It’s so easy not to as you get older.”
All A Dance A Day participants will have the opportunity to perform in Weymouth and Portland as part of the cultural celebrations during the 2012 Games.
Tasters throughout June and July will be followed by regular weekly classes.
The next Portland session is on Monday June 27 from 2pm-3pm at Community 2000 centre, Easton.
