Cerne Valley HELP is needed to assist in investigating an application by the Trail Riders Fellowship.
The TRF have applied to the Dorset County Council to have the bridleway along the ridge between the Cerne and Sydling/Frome valleys upgraded.
Basing their application on the fact that this route is indeed an old Public Carriageway they would like it upgraded for use of 4WDS and motorbikes.
Any challenge will require in-depth research of historical records – could you assist with this and help protect the peace and tranquillity of this area?
Anyone with knowledge of the Enclosure Awards 1820 – 1840 is also urged to come forward.
Please contact Edward Gallia on edward@nethercerne.co.uk for further information.
