A Motorist escaped injury when he drove over the top of a roundabout in Weymouth.
Police officers said the Weymouth pensioner was driving his black Volkswagen Fox from the direction of Weymouth town centre along Weymouth Way when he drove on to and over Chafeys Roundabout at Southill.
PC Kelvin Edge said the man had survived ‘a bumpy ride’.
He said: “The elderly gentleman did not negotiate the roundabout and went straight over the top.
“He went through the middle of the roundabout so it was a bit of a bumpy ride for him.”
PC Edge said the driver was taken to hospital to be checked over but was believed to have received no injuries.
The damaged car was removed.
