A HOTELIER on Weymouth seafront was woken just before 4am to find burglars had broken in.
Police said the hotel owner awoke when one of his windows was smashed and called police when he found two men had made their way inside.
Detective Inspector Marcus Hester, of Weymouth CID, said two men have been arrested on suspicion of burglary.
He said: “They were arrested at 4am this morning after we were called.
“They were found and were taken into custody. The owner contacted us when a window had been broken and two men were inside the premises. They were seen by the owner who called the police.”
The men arrested are aged 26 and 27 and are from Bristol.
They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries so any other witnesses or anyone with information is being asked to call the police on 01305 222222.
