A HOUSING group that owns a number of properties in a Dorchester development, which was recognised as having an anti-social behaviour issue, has said the development is now safe and secure.

Inspector Les Fry, of Dorchester police, previously told the Echo that Dorset Police are aware of the problems in Poets Way.

Yarlington Housing Group, which owns a number of properties on the Taylor Wimpey development, has said ‘without notice’ injunctions have now been served on three tenants in Poets Way and also Keats House.

A spokesman for the housing group said: “These injunctions were confirmed in the Weymouth County Court on Tuesday, June 7, in the presence of the defendants.

"Due to legal restrictions, we were previously unable to give any details of these until they had been confirmed but we are now pleased that we have reached this significant stage in the process to ensure the new development is a safe and secure place to live.

“We continue to work with the police to ensure residents don’t suffer further anti-social behaviour from these perpetrators.”
