I recently had cause to send yet another email to the Weymouth Transport Package pointing out the delays I was experiencing driving to work in Weymouth during a mid-week evening.

In reply I got a very involved technical explanation and an assurance that the benefits will not be felt until it is complete (yeah, right).

During the two years we have endured the disruption caused by the construction of this deeply unpopular and no doubt hugely expensive scheme while Weymouth is dying. How many local businesses will go to the wall even before the Olympic events get underway?

I personally have given up on the town – coming in only for work then getting out again just as fast as I can.
