THE chairman of the Dorset County Hospital Digital Mammography Appeal has praised the people of Dorset for all their help saying she is ‘delighted with the generosity’.
Wendy Nightingale said: “I can't believe how generous people have been with their time and money. We have raised £365,000 so far, so we only need £135,000. It sounds a lot but we have raised that in three months.
“I’m delighted with the response, “I’m just overwhelmed by how fantastic the people of Dorset are.
“Everyone said I wouldn’t raise this money in the current economic climate. But it’s a really good cause and a local cause and people know we're not wasting the money.”
“It’s for the benefit of everyone.”
