Dorchester man Jared Parkin, cycled 100 miles in the South Downs Way Mountain Bike Challenge to raise cash for Kingfisher Ward at Dorchester County Hospital.
The dad-of-two chose to raise cash for the Dorchester hospital because his four-year-old son Ethan spent two weeks in the special care baby unit and some time in the Kingfisher Ward.
Mr Parkin, 36, cycled from Winchester to Eastbourne in just over 14 hours alongside his two friends Chris Salt and Rich Dilks from Derbyshire.
His wife Mrs Parkin, 32, said: “I want to congratulate the boys for completing the magnificent challenge and say how proud I am of my husband for this achievement.”
If you would like to sponsor Jared please send cash or a cheque, with your postcode on the back, to H Parkin, 1 Farfrae Crescent, Dorchester, Dorset, DT1 2SR.
