I REFER to the plans to charge people to enter the Nothe Gardens during the Olympics.
The fact is that I know nobody who is remotely interested in the Olympics, yet very many people who enjoy visiting the Nothe Gardens because it is enjoyable, pretty and has excellent views of Portland and the coast.
What allowances will the council make for people who just want to visit the Nothe despite the Olympics being here?
Perhaps a solemn oath could be signed at the ‘ticket barrier’ promising not to be remotely interested in the small sailing craft interrupting the view would do the trick.
By the way, who is getting the ticket money?
The Olympic comittee or Weymouth (and occasionally Portland) Borough Council?
