A NEW website has been launched to find the sexiest MP in Parliament.
The site – sexymp.co.uk – has been set up according to its creators as a tool to allow the public to get to know their MPs and to find out which of their members and political parties have the greatest ‘sex-appeal’.
The website changes every time someone votes. Visitors are given a choice of two pictures and they have to choose the sexiest MP.
The results are then ranked into lists for both male and female MPs.
South Dorset MP Richard Drax received a top ranking of number 27 out of 506 male MPs yesterday.
In comparison Labour leader Ed Milliband ranked as number 50, Liberal Democrat leader Nick Clegg was ranked at number 92 and Prime Minister David Cameron was number 115.
West Dorset MP Oliver Letwin came in at 534th.
Reacting to his high ranking on the website Mr Drax said that he was ‘delighted’ and ‘grateful’ to those who had voted for him but said he found it all rather ‘ridiculous’.
Mr Drax said: “I think it’s ludicrous but harmless fun I suppose. It’s good old British humour.”
He added: “I’m delighted and grateful to all those who have elevated me to the upper echelons of the website.”
