I would like to say a huge thank you to all the kind-hearted Dorset Echo readers for supporting the British Heart Foundation’s annual Weymouth Bay Swim back in August last year.
We managed to raise over £28,000 which will help the BHF to continue to invest in life-saving research work and vital prevention and care programmes.
This one-mile sea swim attracted over 500 people and this year we hope the event will be even bigger and better and raise over £35,000 for the BHF.
This year’s Weymouth Bay Swim will take place on Sunday, August 7 starting from the Pavilion end of Weymouth Beach and finishing at the rocky groyne near Lodmoor Country Park.
This event is the perfect chance to soak up the beauty and freedom of swimming outdoors, so why not take the plunge and sign up today?
Registration for the event is now open at bhf.org.uk/weymouth.
