A COUPLE have welcomed their first son into their lives.

Melanie Moore, 27, a bank manager originally from Portland and Matt Webster, 24, also a bank manager, from Cambridge, welcomed their first son Haydn Rhys Webster.

He was born on May 5 weighing 6lbs and 1.5oz after a labour of just over six hours.

The couple had a bit of a scare in February when they were told there was a possibility that baby Haydn could be born eleven weeks early. Luckily everything was fine and he arrived on time.

The couple would like to say thank you to all the midwives and nurses that helped them, and a special thank you to the maternity unit at Dorset County Hospital.

Melanie said: “They were really supportive when we went through the scare back in February.”

Both mum and baby are doing well. Melanie added: “I’m enjoying being a mum, we have started to get into a routine.

“He’s eating well and putting on weight, so he’s doing really well.”

She added: “Matt has been really good and supportive and getting up during the night, even though he’s back to work now.”

The couple said they are really looking forward to introducing Haydn to the world.
