AN intrepid firefighter is getting ready to kayak a marathon distance every day for a month.
Watch Manager Sean Dolan of Humberside Fire & Rescue Service, will attempt to kayak nearly 700 miles from Christchurch in Dorset, to Carlisle on the Scottish Border, taking around twenty-five days in a challenge never been done before.
Using the British Waterways to navigate his route, Sean will spend between seven to eight hours a day kayaking 25 miles, to complete the challenge Sean is also hoping the challenge will raise vital funds to help both the Fire-Fighter’s Charity and Caudwell Children and along the route he will be visiting a number of fire stations who are supporting his expedition.
