THREE cars were seized in a police sting operation in Weymouth.
Dorset Police used number-plate technology to catch road users who didn’t have insurance and driving licences in an operation on Ridgeway Hill on Tuesday.
The team targeted the Ridgeway as there had been reports of drivers speeding on the new road because many were confused about the speed limits.
Speaking at the scene of the operation Sergeant Tony Burden said: “Three vehicles were seized because the drivers did not have valid insurance or licences and eight other offences were also found.”
Drivers who have offended will either be issued with a fixed penalty fine or issued with a court summons.
