A BRIDPORT man was seriously injured in a head on crash near Beaminster.
A Dorset Police spokesman said the 46-year-old was driving his blue Vauxhall Corsa along the A3066 at Netherbury towards Beaminster when he crashed with a silver Volkswagen Golf.
The Bridport man was taken to Dorset County Hospital after the collision at 7.11am yesterday but is believed not to have suffered life threatening injuries.
The 42-year-old driver of the Volkswagen, from Chard, Somerset, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Bridport Hospital for treatment.
Drivers faced heavy tailbacks in the Netherbury, Beaminster and Melplash area following the crash.
Police closed the road following the collision.
