Join in a picnic celebration at the Nothe Gardens to remember the heroic troops who took part in the D-Day Normandy landings on June 6 1944.
The fun-filled D-Day Picnic will be taking place on Sunday, June 5, between noon and 4pm, where there will be a display of historic military vehicles, music of the era plus lots of great family fun, including a Ration Book Trail.
All you need to do is take along a picnic, enjoy the live music being provided by Brass Tacks and let your young ones take part in the free activities being laid on.
This is the fourth picnic that the borough has organised to mark this special occasion and its success is mainly due to local people who wish to remember the contribution veterans made to safeguard our nation.
