CELEBRITY eco-campaigner Anna Ryder Richardson came to Weymouth to visit one of the holiday park’s ‘greenest ever’ caravans.
Best known for her television roles on Changing Rooms and I’m a Celebrity, Anna is now a passionate campaigner on behalf of her own sustainable and conservation-led zoo.
She visited Weymouth Bay Holiday Park in Preston and Littlesea Holiday Park.
Designer Anna worked with the company to help them with staging and interior finishing of the new eco vans.
Produced by leading manufacturer Willerby, the eco-friendly luxury static caravans aim to cut at least 45 per cent in electricity and gas costs, which helps to reducecarbon emissions and energy costs.
The insulation, including walls, ceilings and floors, provide similar layers of protection as bricks and mortar and ‘The Vision’ also includes double-glazing, 100 per cent energy efficient lighting and water-saving devices.
Anna said: “Eco-tourism is a major player in changing the way we live our lives and the more we adapt and change our own practice the better it is for the planet.”
Littlesea manager Leigh Rice said: “It was great. Anna was bubbly, brilliant and full of energy and about 150 people turned up to see her.”
