RESIDENTS of a Dorchester estate are encouraged to get involved in their community by supporting Neighbourhood Watch.
Dorchester South Safer Neighbourhood Team is urging residents of Victoria Park to attend a meeting on Tuesday, May 24 to discuss the possibility of setting up a scheme, known as Home Watch.
The meeting comes after members of the team were approached by a number of residents expressing an interest in starting a local group.
PC Sam Goom said: “The area is low in crime and residents want to work closely with police to ensure that this continues.
“Victoria Park residents want to improve communication with their police and other statutory authorities, so that issues – such as anti-social behaviour and litter – that adversely affect quality of life can be identified and tackled.”
The meeting will be held at the Sixth Form Centre, Thomas Hardye School on Tuesday, 24 May at 7pm.
